This grater has razor-like cutting blades for effortless grating of foods. The fine grater zests lemons and limes in seconds, grates Parmesan and other hard cheeses light and fluffy, finely grates nuts for baking and decorating, and purées garlic and ginger instantly. The grater features etched stainless steel cutting blades in a stainless steel frame with a rubberized handle and a non-slip rubber base for resting on the countertop.
Unlike most graters in which the cutting edges are formed by punching holes through stainless steel or tin, this grater's tiny razor-like edges are formed through an etching process (in which holes are dissolved with a chemical), leaving edges that finely slice the food instead of tearing or shredding.
